So over the weekend i travelled down to Wokingham from Nottingham to attend the orentation day for the placement that i am undertaking this summer to Rwanda. Its was a lovely weekend filled with worship and an opportunity for us all to learn about the teams that we will be going with as well more information on the specific comminuties we will be working with. I got to meet the lovely group of people i will be taking this journey with and to my relief we all get along and after just one weekend we were cooking together, laughing together and sharing secrets in hills as well.
Upon arrival we got put in our groups and i found out that my group had kitchen duty that first evening so off we went to the kitchen to cook. which i was excited about since i love cooking and we were making one of my fav dishes- grilled veg and sweet potato with some pasta bake for those still hungry. After that it was off to the big room to be taught more about the placement we were understanding and the teaching of God as well, that inspired us all to do what we do. We also played this awesome game of thinking up fundrasing ideas beginning with each letter of the alphabet and my under the nail and fun drive went down a treat but in all honesty it gave me and i am sue plenty of other some ideas of how to reach our targets for the charity.
By 10pm we were all fallen asleep and i am sure Amanda, Rob and Sheila could see this and so it was off to bed for me after a long chat with my new bestie Gabsta whom i swear i feel as if i have known for years.
